Toilet Twinning a double winner at the Premier Digital Awards 2017

Tearfund’s Toilet Twinning campaign won both the Best Online Campaign and the People’s Choice Award at the 2017 Premier Digital Awards.  The organisation received the two awards and the prize of an AppKettle WiFi Smart Kettle at the event held in The Brewery, London on Saturday evening.

Toilet Twinning were one of 17 award winners made up of churches, Christian community organisations and individuals at the 11th Premier Digital Awards ceremony, organised by Premier, the Christian media organisation, and hosted by gospel artist FaithChild alongside Premier presenter Maria Rodrigues.

Kevin Bennett, Chief Operations Officer at Premier, said today:

The awards programme was established in 2007 to encourage more Christians to become actively involved in the digital arena and to turn the spotlight on those who’d already managed to give a Christian flavour to internet communications. The world has changed beyond our imagination in the last 10 years, and this year’s winners are worthy examples of organisations which have kept pace with these developments in communicating the Christian message.

Among other recipients of this year’s awards were kokostory.com, part of the Girls’ Brigade Ministries, which won the Best Video award for Resilient, a film about mental health; the new Vlogger of the Year category was won by Dephne Madyara; and Lee Abbey Devon won the Best Christian Organisation Website award.
