Why are you passionate about digital?
The Digital Space is a whole new mission field, where new tools of communication, of reflection and even immersion offer digital missionaries the chance to make known the work of God in all creation. This requires not merely technological innovation and creativity, but new modes of mission and relationship in the proclamation of Christ.
Name a hero of yours and why?
S. Peter: from rough, bluff seaman to eloquent preacher on the day of Pentecost, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Peter said and did stupid and irrational things and yet Jesus loved him. This Rocky for the Church is an inspiration for all of us who mess up and yet still want to follow him and catch a shoal of souls.
What can people expect from your session?
An unashamedly Anglocatholic perspective on the sacramental life reflecting on how it may be authentically supported and enhanced with existing technologies and arts and looking towards how the sacramental life might be expressed within digital space in the future.
What most excites you about # PremDAC18 (other than your own session!)?
Networking: meeting inspiring people and learning more of their experiences, reflections and ideas. I come away from Conferences uplifted and inspired and this feeds back into my own mission and ministry, as I pray that an encounter with me might inspire and encourage someone I might chat with.
